How they fit together

How the services fit together after a leak or flood

Most jobs start with water extraction, which removes standing water and water held in carpet and pad. Structural drying follows, using dehumidifiers and air movers to dry framing, subfloors and walls under measurement; wet wood floors get their own approach in hardwood floor drying.

Some situations need more. A flooded basement, including a sump pump failure, involves pumping, sorting contents and drying concrete. A burst pipe usually means opening ceilings and walls. A sewage backup is handled as heavily contaminated water. And mold prevention ties it all together by drying fast and removing what cannot be dried in time.
