Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Water Damage Restoration Delaware collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights you have. Effective date: October 31, 2026.

Who we are

This website, waterdamagerestorationdelaware.com (the "Site"), is a call-in referral service: when you call the number on the Site, your own call is connected to an independent, licensed water damage restoration contractor who speaks with you on that call.

  • ContactPrivacy questions and requests are handled by phone: call the number shown on this Site and ask for a privacy request. Until a dedicated privacy email address is published, calling is the way to reach us.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to information collected through the Site and through phone calls you place to the numbers shown on the Site. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the Site and its operator.

It does not cover the independent contractors we refer you to. Once a contractor speaks with you or performs work, their own privacy practices apply to the information they collect. We encourage you to ask a contractor about those practices.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to connect you with a contractor and to run the Site.

  • What you say on the callWhen you call, you choose what to tell the contractor you are connected with, such as your ZIP code, address and a description of the water damage. The Site has no forms and does not ask you to type in any personal information.
  • Call informationOur phone system may record the number you called from, the date, time and length of the call, and your general location from your area code, so the call can be routed to a contractor who serves your area. If a call is recorded, you will hear a notice at the start of the call.
  • Technical informationOur hosting provider automatically keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the time of each request.
  • Information we do not collectWe do not collect email addresses, run sign-up forms or marketing lists, or ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or other government identifiers.

How we use information

  • To connect your callWe use call information to route the call you place to an independent water damage restoration contractor who serves your area, so you can speak with them on that call.
  • To operate and protect the SiteWe use technical information to keep the Site available, secure and working correctly, and to detect abuse, spam and fraud.
  • To meet legal obligationsWe may use information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.
  • No outbound contact or marketingWe do not use your information to call, text or email you, and we do not use it for marketing.

How we share information

Your call itself is connected to the independent contractor you speak with. Contractors are separate businesses and are not our employees or agents. Whatever you share with the contractor during the call, and anything you arrange with them, is covered by their own privacy practices.

We share call information with service providers that help us run the Site and the phone line, such as hosting and call-routing providers. They may use it only to provide services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, property or safety of users or others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the Site, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your details to contractors or anyone else so that they can call, text, email or market to you.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The Site does not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before such tools are added, and any required consent options will be provided.

How long we keep information

We keep call information only as long as needed to route calls, resolve disputes and meet legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified.

How we protect information

The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to request and call information is limited to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, including Delaware and California, you may make the following requests about personal information we hold about you. Some state laws, such as the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act, grant these rights to residents of those states; we honor them for every visitor and caller.

  • Right to know and accessYou can ask whether we hold personal information about you, what it is, where it came from, why it was collected and who it was shared with, and ask for a copy.
  • Right to correctYou can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to deleteYou can ask us to delete personal information we collected from or about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt outYou can opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
  • Right to appeal and non-discriminationIf we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider it. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

How to make a privacy request

To exercise any of these rights, call the number shown on this Site and ask for a privacy request, describing what you are asking for. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching the phone number the original call came from, before we act on it. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission.

We aim to respond within 45 days, which is the period most state privacy laws allow. If we need more time, we will tell you why and how long it will take.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults arranging home repairs. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
